Tahoe Horse Kids

Offered April and May and September and October by the Month

This is our introductory program offered in the spring and the fall for riders to begin or advance their riding skills.

During this program, students will receive instruction in grooming and tacking up. They will learn how to lead a horse safely and how to control their horse on the ground. They will spend a minimum of an hour on horseback. Depending on their level, they will learn to walk, trot, and canter. Kids will help with barn chores if there is time. All riders will be evaluated and assigned a horse for the program.

There will be no make-ups (unless weather-related). This is a pre-paid membership program – it is NOT a pack of lessons.
